Great Spoon Review In Today’s Pitchfork

http://pitchforkmedia.com/article/record_review/43984-ga-ga-ga-ga-ga

I have a hard time describing what I like about these Spoon records,
especially the most recent one, but the author of this review nails it.
There is alot of studio experimenting going on, but it is not in your face
and it always serves the song.

“Sandinista!” gets namechecked in the review, as does Elvis Costello’s “Get
Happy!”

Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga is definitely a grower. I was disappointed with it on the
first few listens; I missed the jaunty piano grooves of “Gimme Fiction”. But
I keep returning to it over and over, and each week it seems I have a new
favorite to rave about. First it was “Japanese Cigarette Case”, and then
“Finer Feelings”. This week it is “Don’t You Evah”.

I noticed today that iTunes is featuring a Bonus Track for Ga x 5 called “Deep Clean”. Unfortunately, it’s an “Album Only” track. I’m off to go hunt for it; if you find it before I do, please to be posting a link, thankee.

Argh. So close yet so far. Thank you Barsuk for the link. The file is unaccessible on Mediafire, but the other two Spoon songs are available. I bought the album on emusic, but I want “Deep Clean.” I hope that Mediafire fixes the issue. If anyone has the track, can you post it?
