Best Robyn Hitchcock Interview You’ll Read All Year

There’s an amazing interview with Robyn Hitchcock over at The Onion’s AV Club.
In it, Robyn spells out the beginnings of the LP, and foretells the demise of the album as we sink headfirst into the digital music era.

There’s other subjects covered as well, but Robyn’s musings on the music business are prescient. Christopher Bahn does a very good job of asking questions that draw Robyn out - he waxes eloquent on his feelings about Eye, and the recent Showtime documentary, and a great musing on the release of tension as one travels up the West Coast from Los Angeles to Canada.

Also noteworthy are the number and quality of reader comments. Andy Metcalfe (of The Egyptians) shows up to make a correction!
