I’d Put You In The Movies, If Movies Were Mine To Make

I hear tell that Dan Bern has a onscreen cameo in the upcoming Dewey Cox film. He’s the organ player in Dewey’s band during the song “Beautiful Ride.” Look for him!
Also, there’s some Oscar talk regarding the soundtrack (which is hi-lar-ious, given that my wife and I just watched “For Your Consideration” last night). There was a Golden Globe nomination yesterday for the title track (Marshall Crenshaw-penned “Walk Hard”), and the Dan Bern and Mike Viola composition “Beautiful Ride” has been announced as one of the candidates (out of four total for the film) for the Academy Awards. So place your bets! Maybe you’ll get to see Dan in a tuxedo next year.

Ha, this is the post I forgot to write (minus the cameo (!) info) last week; glad to see it here. I’m so excited for this movie!
